Private's heart overcomes his instinct to flee as he helps a stranded seal get back to Antarctica, and the rest of the team follow in the submarine to make sure they make it.
Julien is supposed to keep quiet about the penguins' secret tunnel, be he blabs anyway. Kowalski tries to bring a penguin species back from extinction, but clones a Dodo instead. Skipper orders Kowalski's love ray to be put in reverse. When the penguins discover that Jiggles is still alive, the others start squishing it, which makes it multiply.
Lemmy the robot returns from Mars with a space squid. Marlene plans a game night to help the zoo animals bond but it takes a terrible turn when the snacks run out. When King Julien is accidentally bounced out of his kingdom, he is mistaken for a cat and adopted by old lady Gladys. King Julien's archrival, Clemson, returns in another attempt to claim the lemur crown.
This time the sneaky lemur has a document that "proves" King Julien is not the legitimate king because he wasn't born in Madagascar. Marlene's fur is bleached when Alice over-chlorinates the otter habitat.
Skipper is accidentally doused with a substance called Inflatium, so whenever he is stressed he swells up like a balloon. After realizing that Maurice's thumbs could prove to be very useful, the penguins recruit him into their team. The Penguins are faced with a global battle when their specialty food-making machine belches out a toxic cloud that threatens not just the zoo, not just the city, but the earth itself!
The Commissioner's toupee blows off and soon gets stuck on Maurice's head. Shelly the ostrich has a crush on Rico and disposes of Rico's doll in order to eliminate the competition for Rico's heart.
Marlene wants see a concert but every time she leaves the zoo she becomes a monster! Ma takes up residence in the Penguins Lair. She smothers the penguins with love. The unit devolves into a bunch of softies opening the door for Hans to take advantage.
