Tutorrent refuse to download file

I'm currently running Windows 7 x64 with uTorrent 2. I tried downloading a torrent from a public site yesterday but it refused to download. At first I thought it was just the torrent but after trying to downloading Open Office to test I realized it was a bigger problem. There are a few strange things I noticed. There is NO network icon, neither orange nor green just nothing.

Torrents don't show seeds or peers at all when I try to download; they just stay at 0. I know this must be a local problem because my main PC torrents fine also connected to the router.

I've tried using different ports above the normal ISP blocked ones. Nothing works, even after forwarding and with a static IP address. The strange thing is, sometimes it gives an error about a problem with my local network, other times it works and setups the network but torrents still don't download.

If you see your torrent not connecting to peers, this might be the case. A proven workaround here is to use a VPN virtual private network. You can bypass any geo-restrictions by routing your traffic through any of the dozens of servers available worldwide, from the US to Austria, and change your mind just as easily.

As you can see, torrents not downloading can be a problem, but with a methodical approach, you can get those files on your Mac in no time.

Simply turn off the firewall and scan your Mac for viruses with CleanMyMac X, remove download limits on your torrent client, try using a high-quality torrent client like Folx to search for other torrent files, and route your traffic around your network restrictions with ClearVPN. A torrent Tracker is responsible for keeping an updated list of peers sharing the file. Your torrent client should update the tracker periodically, but sometimes it gets stuck. Here in the USA, most of the major Internet Service Providers have been caught throttling traffic at one time or another. And BitTorrent traffic is frequently targeted for throttling. The result is slow, unreliable torrent downloads. And throttling is way more common than most people realize.

How to fix: The only solution is to encrypt your torrent traffic. The best method is with a torrent-friendly VPN. Some people have also reported success with the weaker in-client protocol encryption free. Real-time Antivirus programs can sometimes flag Bittorrent connections, often without alerting you. How to fix: Turn off your antivirus shields temporarily.
